The studio is at 1 Maryland Street in the city centre, a few minutes from Lime Street and the Georgian Quarter, with parking nearby and somewhere to hang the three outfits you could not choose between.
Natural light sessions happen around the city: the Georgian Quarter, the waterfront, the Baltic Triangle and the quieter streets in between, depending on the look you are after and the weather doing as it is told.
Team days run at your building anywhere across Merseyside, the Wirral, Sefton and St Helens, with Warrington, Chester and Greater Manchester covered as part of a booking. All that is needed is a room with a bit of space and a plug.

Headshot questions, answered
How much do headshots cost in Liverpool?
£180 for a session, whether it is a casting headshot or a business one, and £140 for actors still in training. The only thing quoted separately is a headshot day or a group, because that depends on how many people there are and how long it takes. Tell me how many of you there are and you will get a figure back.
What is the difference between an actor headshot and a corporate one?
A casting headshot has to match the person who walks into the room, so it is tightly cropped, lightly edited and led by the eyes. A business headshot has to make a stranger trust you, so it is cleaner, a little warmer and usually shot with room to crop for websites and bios. Same camera, opposite instincts.
How long does a headshot session take?
Usually about an hour for one person, without a stopwatch on it. Team days are booked in slots so nobody sits waiting, and a full day covers a floor comfortably.
What should I wear?
Bring three or four options in plain colours that fit properly, and avoid loud patterns and big logos. Necklines matter more than anything else on a tight crop. For casting, dress for the parts you get seen for, not the parts you want.
How many photos do I get?
Plenty to choose from on the day, with the ones you select edited properly. You are not paying per image or being upsold the good ones afterwards.
How quickly do I get them back?
The same week for most sessions. If there is a deadline, a casting or a website going live, say so when you book and it gets worked to.
Do you retouch?
Carefully. Spots, stray hairs, distractions and colour, yes. Reshaping your face or smoothing you into somebody else, no. A casting director is checking the photo against the person in front of them.
Can you come to our office?
Yes. Team days are set up at your building anywhere across Merseyside and the North West, and all it needs is a room with a bit of space and a plug. Most teams get through it faster than they expect.
Can new starters be added later?
Yes. Top-up sessions are shot to match the original lighting and background so your team page stays consistent as people join.
Studio or outdoors?
Both work. The studio gives complete control and a clean background. Natural light around the city gives something softer and more filmic, which a lot of actors prefer. You can do some of each in one session.
Do you photograph students and drama school leavers?
Often. Actors in training pay £140, and it is worth doing properly before showcase season rather than after it.
I hate having my photo taken. Is that a problem?
No, and nearly everybody says it. I am a working actor as well, so I have sat on the other side of it. You get directed the whole way through and the first few minutes, when everyone is stiff, get thrown away.
