“How much does a video cost?” is a bit like asking how much a house costs. It depends on what you want it to do. A single talking head for LinkedIn and a scripted brand film with three locations are both “a video”, but they are very different jobs.
I produce business video in Liverpool for brands, venues, training teams and small businesses, and I quote every project individually. Rather than a price list, here is what actually moves the figure, so you can shape a brief that fits your budget.
The short version
- Filming time. Half day, full day or several days.
- How many finished videos. One hero film or a batch of social clips.
- Planning and scripting. Planning is included; scripts and voiceover are extras.
- Edit and extras. Motion graphics, subtitles and multiple versions.
- Where it will be used. Your own channels are included; paid ads are licensed on top.
1. Filming time
Shoots are booked as a half day, a full day or a multi day production. Filming time is usually the biggest single factor, so the more we plan up front, the more we get from every hour on the day. One well planned day can produce a main film plus a set of vertical clips.
2. How many finished videos you need
A single brand film is one edit. A month of social content might be twelve to twenty short vertical videos from one filming day. More finished pieces means more editing time, even when the filming is the same.

3. Planning, scripting and voiceover
Planning is included as standard: I agree the message, structure and shot list with you before we film. If the project needs a full script, interview question prep, a professional voiceover or subtitles, those are added to the quote so you can choose what you need.
4. Locations, people and logistics
One location with one interviewee is simpler than three locations, a presenter and a team of contributors. Travel beyond Merseyside and the North West is quoted on request.

5. The edit and the extras
Motion graphics, animated captions, branded titles, music licensing and multiple versions for different platforms all add edit time. Nearly every project is delivered in landscape for your website and YouTube plus vertical for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
6. Where the video will be used
Your website, YouTube, organic social media, email and internal use are covered as standard. If the video will run in paid advertising, that usage is licensed on top and agreed up front, so there are no surprises later.
How to get the most from your budget
Film several things in one day. Plan the content before the shoot. Reuse one interview across a main film and several short clips. And tell me your budget early: I would much rather shape a plan that fits than send a quote that does not.
What to send for a video quote
The brief

The practical bits

Questions businesses ask
How long does it take to get the finished video?
Most projects are delivered within one to two weeks of filming. Simple edits can be quicker, and scripted or multi video projects take a little longer. Tell me your launch date and I will plan around it.
Do you have fixed packages?
No. Every project is quoted individually, because a half day of social content and a scripted brand film are very different jobs. I price fairly and itemise the quote so you can see where the money goes.
Is monthly content cheaper than one off shoots?
Ongoing monthly content spreads the planning and setup across the year, which usually gives you more finished videos for your money.
